  1. Oh, what great pictures! Somehow I never imagined a train from Alaska to Canada. I am so poor at geography. I love the picture of you two with your gold!

  2. Nan, we had such a good time. This was our "trip of a lifetime" - at least for me. I think Bill enjoyed it too, but for me it was wonderful. We also took the train from Fairbanks to Denali and from Denali to Anchorage. I'll try posting some more pictures - such a glorious time!

  3. Have you wanted to go there for a while? Hey, what about mosquitoes? I hear they are huge there? :<)

  4. We had planned to drive the Alaska-Canada Highway six years ago, but family troubles made it much more important to postpone the trip. It was much more fun for Bill to be able to sit back and let someone else do the driving so he could take pictures!
We were there at a good time of year - no mosquitoes at all - and only a few flies. It was cool - always in the 50's, so the mosquitoes had given up for the year, I think!
